Teynham is part of the ‘Rural Swale Collaboration Group’ (RSCG), who, along with four other schools are working together, primarily, to raise standards and to enhance the teaching and learning across all schools.

The schools in the collaboration are Canterbury Road, Teynham, Eastling, Rodmersham, Bapchild and Tonge, working alongside one another is enabling us to:

• Enhance teaching and learning
• Raise standards in Literacy and Numeracy
• Share good practice and embed it in our own schools
• Share resources
• Share expertise in areas such as Early Years FS, AEN and Leadership skills

We further aim to equip the children with life skills to be successful learners and to foster a love of learning.

Already there have been opportunities for children to develop their writing skills, for Numeracy and Literacy leaders to meet, for the Special Needs coordinators to share their expertise and for the Early Years practitioners to moderate the work of their children.

We are all very excited about the opportunities that both the staff and children are already benefiting from.
