On Friday 18th November the local MP Gordon Henderson came to visit our class to announce the new winner of the Litter Angels competition. A few weeks ago, we all designed a poster to help explain and encourage recycling. Sadly, we did not win the overall competition but Natalia was our class winner and was awarded with a certificate, a mug with her poster, a book and some sweets.
We have also written letters to Gordon asking about recycling in the local area, we expressed our concerns with the park not having any bins and only having a few options for recycling at school. When he was in we asked him lots of questions and he answered them well, we are confident that he will solve our problems. He was very impressed with our letters and promised to read them all and send us a combined reply.
